Spencer has represented technology businesses of all sizes in a career spanning almost 30 years. Spencer has served as outside counsel with major law firms, and as General Counsel and in other senior in-house legal roles for companies ranging from true start-ups to Facebook and Microsoft.

In addition to amassing legal acumen and a broad network of colleagues around the world, Spencer has been a passionate student of the culture of emerging growth companies. He offers legal advice tailored not only to a company’s immediate legal requirements, but also with a view towards how that strategy may need to change as they experience growth, or, as the case may be, hyper-growth.

Spencer is a native New Yorker who practiced in Silicon Valley for most of his career. He has worked extensively with clients in the U.S. and Europe. Lately, Spencer likes to spend as much time as he can in the Alps.
